Tepper Essay 4

Here is Essay D of Tepper School of Business.

Please answer one of the following two questions. Please clearly specify which question you are answering.

1. Outside of my professional and/or academic life, one thing that people would be surprised to know about me is...

2. Outside of my professional and/or academic life, I am especially proud of...


I have two things in my mind that could be used here.
1. My running as a hobby. I have run marathons twice.
2. My social work. Working for the lower strata of the society etc.

I am not able to decide which one to go for here. Both are good indicators my of personality type.
If there is anybody who has idea about Tepper's selection criteria or otherwise, please answer.

2nd one, because you can show your impact on other people. You may also show teamwork and organized project work in your social work project. 1st one though commendable is an individual achievement.

How about this: I have mentioned my social work in another essay as a foundation of my post MBA goals selection.
So, would it now make sense to include running in this essay ?

Always happy to help. If you have mentioned social work project in another essay then it wont make sense to include it in this essay, you may go ahead and include running here.
