This could be solved by plugging the answer choices. Start with the first one.
74.
Let SD be X, hence Mean - 2SD = 58
74 - 2X = 58, there fore X = 16/2, that is X = 8
Lets see if it satisfies the second part of the question. 3SD = 24
Add 74 + 24 which gives 98 and hence Option A is the correct Answer.
