Thanks and yes, that's what threw me off. "Infection" wasn't included in E, which is the right answer.

Question is - in it's absence, is E still the right answer? We are talking about the virus infection and not the virus itself.

Infection is redundant and thus not needed. If we're talking about cases of the virus, we're clearly talking about infections.
