MS Accounting/Tax

by hutch27 » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:47 pm
A little background on me: I graduated with a degree in accounting from a school with a respectable accounting program. I want to go there for my masters but they require at least a 580 to get into the MBA program. I had a 3.1 final average, and never got anything lower than a B+ in my accounting classes. I ran division 1 track and field for 2.5 years until I had to get surgery and had to call my athletic career off. I also minored in Italian and am able to speak it fluently. That is my resume in a nutshell.

I've always had a hard time with standardized testing, and I recently took the GMAT and got a miserable 500. I actually took it 3 times. The first time I got a 350, then I got a 440, and this time a 500. I plan on taking it again because I am seeing progress with my studies and am becoming confident, even if it is slow. I hope to get a 550 or above.

My question is, is are there any MS programs in the US that will take a 500, considering my accolades so far? I want to finish my Masters as soon as I can so I can start to study for my CPA and get a job.
