GMAT Score 510. Q42,V20 Need suggestion on next steps

Hi all,

I belong to the category Indian/IT/Male/Engineer and I clearly know that score is not enough to get into a good B-school. I have two basic questions in mind,

1. I want to do a re-take is it possible? If yes, what is the maximum date till which I can take GMAT to apply for fall of 2013.

2. If I re-take , the key issue is I have almost exhausted all the free prep resources like OG 12, Kaplan 800, GMATPrep 2 exams + hard questions and veritasPrep sample GMAT. What is the best book for increasing verbal score and whats the ideal time to complete that , so that I can plan for re-take.

Are you planning to apply for fall 2013 or matriculate in fall 2013? If you're not planning to apply until that time, then you have over a year to retake the exam. If you are planning to apply this year, then you should aim for a retake in time for the Round 2 deadlines of the schools you're interested in.

I am planning to apply this year for the colleges in round2. I request you point to some good verbal preparation materials to enhance my verbal score.

Did you take a look into the E-GMAT online Verbal training? Suppose to be really good although I do not have any experience with it.

Maximum date by when you can take the GMAT and still apply for Fall 2013 depends on the schools you are applying to. NUS,NTU accept applications well till Feb/March while most of the US Business schools have their deadlines in Jan first week(R2).If you are facing difficulty in SC, I'd strongly recommend SC Grail 3rd edition. Currently using and love it.
