A - is not precise enough, also the use of "their" is ambiguous
B - correct
C - too wordy
D - changes the meaning because it uses the phrase "working conditions' effects" when we should actually be considering the effects of CHANGES in working conditions
E - the use of "what" in this structure is incorrect grammatically and redundant
