I learned that use of 'other's as following..
one vs an other, the other, or the others
some vs others or the others

in this problem, a,b, and c are incorrect by idiom more ~ than
in c and d, I think that the subject is "temples", plural form
so later compare destination might be "others" : it's whole my think..

but OA is e
can you explain about this problem?

Hey Kim,

You lost me with your explanation, but I think you got to part of the solution.

More - than - Comparison between 2 entities. If you have a more, then there should be a than. or less than or fewer than etc..

So this boils down to options D and E.

Now the comparison is between reigns, not temples. Hence E.

The OA employs ELLIPSIS: the omission of words whose presence is understood.
E: More ancient Egyptian temples were constructed IN THE REIGN OF RAMSES II than [were constructed] IN ANY OTHER [REIGN].
The bracketed words are omitted, but their presence is understood.
Since the number of temples constructed in one REIGN is being compared to the number constructed in any OTHER reign, the use of OTHER is correct.
