Chances of getting into b-school from undergrad? (Columbia)

Hello, I'm interesed in knowing my chances of getting into Columbia's mba program.

I am currently a senior (22 years old) & an ACCOUNTING major at the University of Texas at Arlington.

My gmat score was 720 and I have a 3.8 gpa.

Knowing that the average work experience of admitted students at Columbia B-school is 4 years, I jumped into the work force immediately. I have worked in the healthcare industry since I was 18 years old. The company I worked for was "Northeast Home Health Care," one of the biggest home health agencies in North Texas. Working for them was a blessing from God. I was in charge of marketing, recruiting employees, and other operational tasks like billing, scheduling, and even training new marketers. I had a very good vantage point of the company. Also, due to my hard work, I have produced $1 million dollars for Northeast Home Health Care.

Attending a top business school has always been my dream. Every night I visualize myself walking on the grounds of Columbia business school. However, I have heard through the grapevine that Columbia does not accept many students straight from undergrad. But I believe that I have excelled in school and in business in order to be granted admission.

Please let me know your expert opinions on my chances of getting accepted into a great mba program!

You are right that not many students get accepted right from college, but that does not mean that there are not any. Give it a whirl if it is your dream. You will likely get feedback on what they are looking for if you do not get in.
