Hi..

I have given my GMAT and got a very low score in 400's. This was done with no proper preparation and strategy. Huge Mistake.

I am planning to take my GMAT again. Will having one low score under my profile effect? Please advice.

Nope, only your highest score matters, but it doesn't mean that you can take the exam as many times as possible till you reach your target score. Make sure you make up for the mistake in the next attempt. There should considerable improvement in score otherwise it will be looked upon badly. Use the GMATPrep tests available at mba.com to get a fair idea of how much you will be scoring in the actual test. There will be a +/- 30 points deviation.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
