Hi maverick_084,

Thanks for your post. And congrats on a strong GMAT score.

Since you mention that you are primarily interested in MS Finance programs, I wanted to point out that not all top programs focus on applicants coming directly from an undergraduate program. The Financial Times has a helpful ranking of MS Finance programs for people who have already entered the workforce: https://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolra ... ience-2012.

Regarding your MBA profile, your academics will be strengthened by a strong GMAT score (730 will be above average of most schools) but weakened by your Masters in Commerce grades. If you passed in the First Class from your Bachelor, that will help (especially if there were extenuating circumstances during your Masters).

It will be important to show career progression in your work experience (through promotions, compensation increases, increased responsibility). Working part-time for two years will put you at a disadvantage versus most applicants who worked full-time since graduating from college, so career progression since will be even more important.

The extracurricular section of your application is important as well. I recommend only including activities in college and since then. Team sports are excellent to include and leadership positions should be highlighted.

Based on the information you have shared, I suggest targeting 'top 15-30' ranked schools. Please feel free to e-mail [email protected] for a free detailed profile evaluation.

Heidi
