I would go with (c) because it makes it clear that the modern ones are more lightfast and vibrant. The rest of the options use "they" which could be ambiguous.

What's the OA?

B
'Different than' is unidiomatic. So left with B,D and E.'On acoount of being' in B is akward and 'They' in E is ambigous.
So answer is B.OA?
