Low Undergrad GPA. Do i need extra classes?

I graduated from Texas Christian University in may 2009 with a BBA in finance and entrepreneurial management. My undergraduate GPA was VERY low (2.75) but right after graduation, i started working full time as a mutual fund manager in my home country. I also started Law School (in my home country) and im about to graduate with a 3.3 GPA. As of right now, i have 3 years of full time experience and by the time i start the MBA (if i get accepted) i will have 4 years of experience.

I havent taken the GMAT yet but from the practices i have taken, i should be in the 600-650 range. Can someone please tell me if i need to take extra classes in order to compensate for my low undergrad GPA?

It depends on the school in which you want admission. You are having great experience i.e.4 years so there are some school which consider your work experience record for the admission.

You can offset your low GPA by a stellar GMAT Score.In spite of a good graduate gpa ,it will be difficult to compete with a low undergraduate gpa and a low GMAT score .I suggest that you aim for a higher GMAT (700 );in addition, you may consider taking a class or two.The rest depends on other parts of your profile: work experience,extra curricular, and community involvement etc.

I am curious about this question myself. If I have a low GPA, I assume it will make the selection process a lot more difficult for me? Meaning, I may have to apply to more programs, in which there is the chance that I may only get acceptance at a select few? I want to get into a place locally. Isn't there a go around for this drawback? Perhaps if I take some of my classes over again that I got a lower score in and replace that score with a higher one? Will that be a possibility in raising my GPA? I am new to the admissions process and I am still learning what can be beneficial in applying.

In which School you want to get admission,according to that your GMAT should be.If your aim is to get top business school then your GMAT should be at least 700.It totally depends on you.You can also apply to schools according to your GMAT,mean you can check for average score for schools and then you can choose the school.
