Is x > 0 ?

(1) x^2 > 0
(2) x^3 > 0

If you choose x=-2 and then for statement 2 it would be negative because -2^3 would be -8 right, I am not sure what the questions is asking.

Can someone assist!

question is asking "Is x positive ?"

statement 1 X^2 is positive, So X can be -ve as well as +ve. insuff.

statement 2 X^3 is positive, so X can only be +ve.

Answer B.
