EXECUTIVE MBA
Executive MBA or EMBA is a option for people in their late 30s or early 40s who might feel embarrassed to be part of a 20 something class. EMBA programs conduct their courses on weekends and evenings, so they can attend their classes. Executive MBA program is 2-5 years in length. The companies that you work with might be able to fund your EMBA programs (if you commit to work with them for 3-5 years after your MBA).
FULL TIME MBA
Full-time MBA programs provide students with a rich experience and engage them fully with the learning process. Although the opportunity cost is high in terms of lost compensation and the additional burden of funding your MBA, a full-time MBA program is ideal for people who are planning to make a career transition ( in domain, position or in function). The biggest advantage of a full-time MBA program is the SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, where you can apply what you have learned.
It depends on your situation an Executive MBA might fit in one situation or does not fit in another or vice-versa.
