Hai.. It would be great if you can evaluate my profile and give me a realistic view !

Chartered Accountant.

95% in 10th ( School topper )
96% in 12th ( Group topper )
Bcom from Top 10 colleges in India- in the top 10-15 ranks in college - TYBcom 87%

CA
PE-I - First attempt-71%
PE-II - Ranked All India 16th - First Attempt
Final - Cleared in first attempt - no great scores here as I did articleship in a BIG 4 and hardly got enough time

Others:
Diploma in IFRS- ACCA,UK

WE:
Currently working for a BIG 4 - Assurance SBU
WE will be 2 years by April 2013

Sectors handled: Power, Plantations, Manufacturing- Car, Elevators, Automobile Components, etc , Film Labs, KPOs/ BPOs - several of them.

Reporting directly to the Partner, handled several audits as an article managing a 2-3 member team, handled once of the largest accounts in my office and reported directly to partner.
Promoted with in one year and always rated outstanding.
Awarded twice for going that extra mile and contributing to the firm.

Dear Priyanka,
Your profile is very nice. You have really lovely grades, and have what I would call a very "full" profile, between your work, and the music, and the Guide Awards, etc. A really strong foundation.

Now, what you need to do is work on the building a bit more! Smile

The first thing is of course your WE. If you are gonna have 24 in April, then either next year or the year after that (maybe even better) would be ideal for you to apply. Retaking your GMAT is HIGHLY recommended! I mean you have a very strong foundation , so if you can get that GMAT too, then it will make you very competitive. That's the first thing, and with one year, you have plenty of time.

The next thing is to think about work in the meanwhile - you seem to have some very nice "early stage" leadership stuff, and if you can work hard to get more and more leadership responsibilities and projects, and even promotion, it will look really really good, when you do apply.

Also, you didn't mention volunteering, so if you don't have enough there, it would be a good idea to find something now. Schools especially like "Big Name" organizations, like the Red Cross, Amnesty International, etc. etc.

Finally, for your goals, consulting makes more sense to me than Consumer Product, just because your current work is far more applicable to consulting, so that can be an advantage when you apply.
