Hi tsharma,

Some of the experts on the site (including myself) offer private tutoring. If you have a look at a few expert replies in threads and come to like an expert you could send him/her a private message.

Even if I choose a tutor, I would not know if he/she is providing tutoring close to my area. So how do I search for tutors area wise? Or is it more like I just contact various tutors and see who provides tutoring close to my area?

tsharma,

Good point. some of these experts have developed methods that allow them to get similar results from long distance tutoring that they would otherwise get from in-person tutoring. If you're open to exploring long-distance, ask about it and ask whether you can have a session to see what it's like before you have to commit to a long tutoring program.

To use this site to find local tutors, I would look inquire in the "Let's meet" forum boards because they are centered around individual cities.

Good luck,
-Patrick
