Can anyone help with solution for this problem:

If y = |x| - 100, and if the standard deviation of x series is 'S', what is the standard deviation of y series?

Hmm, it's hard to understand what this question is asking. How many numbers are in the sets?
What are the 5 answer choices?
Is this a GMAT question? What's the source?
