Hello Everyone,

I gave my GMAT today and scored 580(56 percentile). I really don't know whats happened wrong.. I've scored 63 percentile in Quants and 36 percentile in Verbal. I'm already turning 29 in couple of months and I don't wanna give another try. I'm afraid if my score might go worse than this..

I have around 6 years of work experience as a software engineer and had completed my B.Tech and MS. I'm looking for a good university ( not any in top 30). All I need to know is if there's any chance I can get admitted with any good University for MBA, and will I be able to earn a good job after completing my course (probably a campus placement, which I've seen so far during my academics)

Please advice..

Give it another try. I improved from 580 to 660 and then your chances will become more bright.

As far as getting into an MBA program with a 580, you need to check the GMAT requirements of your target schools.

As far are retaking the GMAT goes, you should not retake the test until you have successfully achieved your target score on at least two practice tests (free test software at: https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx)

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent
