should I try again?

by desimd » Sat Jun 07, 2008 11:12 am
Hello, I just took the GMAT -600 and I don't know about the essays yet. I'm actually international student and I have a Bachelor in Business Administration from an university in my country( Bulgaria). I have work experience in American company, I'm a management trainee(1 year) and I have been a member of international student's organisation for about 2 years. I wanted to ask you if I have nay chance of being accepted in Northwestern University( Chicago) or University of Chicago for MBA or PhD. Or should I retake the test? Thank you!

Dear desimd,

To be competitive for either Northwestern or Chicago, you absolutely need to retake the GMAT and increase your score. You should be looking for a minimum 50 point increase but 100+ point increase would be best. Perhaps look at some other schools in the Chicago area that are solid MBA programs?

Regards,
Lisa

thanks, Lisa! Yup I was thinking about that as well I will make my research. I think I will not be able to get up to 700+ because I work full time and I don't have any time to study, but I will most probably retake it and research for more MBa programs. Thank you!
