need advice on mba school fair

by c210 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 9:40 am
Hey All,

I am attending an MBA fair at a hotel with 30+ schools in the next month ( 4 of which i'm interested in actually applying to ) can you give me any advice on how I should go about this? I'm looking for advice specifically on how I should dress, what kind of questions I should ask the representatives from the school, and any other general advice that would help me out :) Thank you so much in advance!

best,
C

The best questions to ask are the REAL ones you have, and ideally ones that will specifically help clarify why their SPECIFIC program is exactly matched to your SPECIFIC goals and your SPECIFIC character. At this point you don't need to think about impressing them.

It's better if they are questions that are not easily answered on the website, but deep stuff that has to do with your specific situation and the school too.

Jon is right. You will never really impress them anyway with that mass of people competing to grab 3-5 minutes. So do your best to learn about their school through the prism of your career interests. And dressing in a suit (tie optional) is always safe.

Hey I just attended the MBA Tour in Los Angeles last Saturday- found this video on their site that gives some good advice on how to prep.
