hi !
I need your expert opinion and your insights regarding my profile.
I am a 24 year old indian female with an experience of 1 year 8 months in the oil and gas industry(downstream) and 1 year 3 months experience in the banking sector,totalling my experience by the end of july to almost 3 years.
I started off working as an assistant manager in a bank,wherein i was posted in retail banking and was incharge of handling all day to day banking operations. I was incharge of loans and mortgages.During my tenure , i increased the total value of bank operations by over 30%. i had significantly increased the loans and deposits thereby significantly increasing the overall business. Being the ATM officer of the branch,i was responsible for maintaining and loading cash into ATM,secure operation and coordinate with the NFS dept of the bank for failed transactions.
After a year and 3 months later, i got an opportunity with a bigger responsibility to work for a fortune 500 downstream oil and gas company (one among the biggest public sector undertakings in india).I am currently working as an operations officer (happen to be the only female officer in my teritorry that spans across 4 districts over an area of over 30,000 sq. km , independently taking charge of almost all operations at supply location). I ve been working here from almost two years now.My work involves Downstream Retail channel management.I handle a network of over 140 Petroleum Selling Retail outlets.It also involves vendor and Retailer management.As a part of my job , i deal with over 120 vendors and monitor their reponsibilities and performance on day to day basis to ensure ontime product delivery to our customers and clients.As a safety and quality control officer I am responsible for adherence to guidelines and procedures,auditing/audit compliance,safety training and safe operations within the plant.
I am the only officer in the territory responsible for safety and QA auditing(both internal and external) of supply location for compliance with Petroleum ministry's guidelines and regulations and quality checks of the product supplied.I am the lead officer for financial management of creating invoices through SAP modules,dealing with transactions worth crores of rupees daily. I had streamlined the vendors to achieve double the average sales volume during peak period,using the existing manpower and infrastructure efficiently,thereby setting new records.
I scored 84 % in class X and 91 % in class XII.i have a bachelors degree in electrical and electronics engineering from one among the best colleges in the state and have scored 76 % in the same.
I have exhibited my leadership skills by conducting and organising various events in my college by and have won prizes various activities like acting,debating,creative writing,singing,etc. i havent given my gmat yet. I am also a person with interests in varied fields, like sketching,painting, playing musical instruments,reading,travelling,etc.
I haven't given GMAT yet and am aiming to score above 700.
my queries being:
1. i am aiming for top schools in europe like escp paris,,hec paris,iese ,ie etc. and top universities in USA as well. what are my chances there ? what do i need to work on ? do you think that my work ex and profile is good enough for top B-Schools.
2.i have been deliberating on quitting my job owing to some personal reasons.would it have any effect on the way the adcom would looks at my profile?
