is 800score representative of real GMAT

by abcgmat » Mon Jul 16, 2012 6:24 am
Hi,

I took my 800score practice tests only july 1 and july 15 and got a score
690 , 700.
690: Q45, V: 38
700: Q44, V:41

I was happy to see improvement in verbal (my last gmat score was 640 q: 48, V: 31)
But I have seen reviews that 800score verbal score is overrated and verbal is quiet
easy on 800score.com

I have already taken Manhattan free test and gmat-prep test many times , so I would not gain
much from this test.

Could you suggest me the test which can be representative of actual GMAT tests
or Is 800score representative of actual test?

As it will be my fourth attempt,I want to do well this time. (I still have to prepare for IR and quant)

Kindly provide Inputs, Would be very valuable for me

During my preparation, I never had a very good experience with 800score.

I didn't feel anything "adaptive" in these tests. But that's just my opinion. Perhaps the experts would give you better insights. :-)

It sounds like you've only taken Manhattan's free test. If you purchase one of the MGMAT guides, you get access to 6 tests. Manhattan is typically considered one of the most reliable CATs.

Hi,
I don't remember how much I scored in 800score test. I took this test in the mid-stages of my prep, so it wouldn't be anywhere close to 720.
I had bought all the 800score CATs, but stopped attempting after the first one. I did not find the test adaptive at all. I would suggest you to stay away from them.
Manhattan offers 6 CATs, these are the best in the market after the GMATprep softwares. :)
