US Schools - if I want to return to West Coast

Hello All,

I am planning to apply to Business Schools in the US. I work in the West Coast in the Hi-Tech industry. I was wondering if any of you can help me figure out schools in Top 20 (US) which would be ideal for me if I want to get back to West Coast after graduation - not necessarily back to Tech. Industry.

Most schools in the top 20 have a large national alumni network and name recognition, so I think your options are pretty open. Of course, attending a school on the west coast may make it even easier -- Stanford, Haas, etc.

well known schools on the west coast include: Anderson, Haas, Stanford, U of Washington, and USC. They are at varying levels of intensity and influence, with Stanford being the clear top. if you go to any school ranked within the top 10 nationally, you will find name recognition and alumni on the west coast that will be helpful for you. that said, it's not the same as having gone to school where you want to live and work post-graduation. and not all schools have the same influence. HBS and Wharton carry a lot of weight b/c their MBA brands are exceptional.

you should also know that columbia and wharton have SF based extension programs, so that's another option as well.
