Just Began Studying

Hi, my name is Cody. I am a student studying Finance and Chinese at a Private, Liberal Arts college in the United States. I have been thinking for some time about going to B-School but didn't know a ton about it. After researching quite a bit, I targeted 3 main schools that I am most interested in. These schools are Harvard, Stanford, and London Business School. I realized there are a number of things that I needed to address to be considered for candidacy, which included doing extremely well on the GMAT. Through Beatthegmat, I have come to a general understanding of what it takes to prepare. I purchased the entire Manhattan GMAT, Powerscore Critical Reasoning Bible, GMAT OG 13, Kaplan 800, and Manhattan Advanced Quant text. I have begun studying with Manhattan Quant and plan on moving forward from there. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to beating the GMAT with all of you!

Cody, you have gathered an impressive collection of resources. What is important now is not to lose the enthusiasm you have and manage to go through them. It might be a hard job but it all depends what kind of student you are. As for now, I wish you good luck with your learning and will gladly assist if you need any help.

Good luck on your GMAT journey. I recommend that after you familiarize yourself with the structure of the test that you take a diagnostic/practice test. Knowing where you started will be great motivation as you improve, and you can use the results of the test to direct your studying.
