how do you do study notes? pen and paper? ipad?

i'd really like to use the ipad to jot down and organize my study notes but it seems to be a real cumbersome process. anyone using the ipad for the note taking process (not for practice questions or flashcards)? if so, any tips?

Just buy a silicon pen to write with.... they are cheap.

I have been known to write out notes or problems (especially those in which I ended up diagramming) by hand and then take a picture with my iPad. It's a lot easier for me to keep track of it digitally, and I can always email them out to students as needed.

There are a couple of notetaking apps that might help as well. I like Notability myself.
