First attempt - 690, seems good, but... ?

Hi to all!
I've just scored 690 (Q48 V37 / 88pct).

I'm not a native speaker, and I don't live in a country where English is native, so my low verbal result was expected.
Still I believe that 690 with a Q48 is a good result for a non-native speaker.

I've been studying for three months, so I belive that one additional month, could bring my verbal for at least 40, but...I'm running out of time to submit my docs this year, so if I retake I'll lose a priceless month of time (TOEFL, essays and recommendations are still ahead).

So I need your advice!
Should I stop or retake? (Target - Columbia, Booth, Berkeley, Wharton, Stern)

I would suggest to celebrate 690 and focus other parts of App however for schools you are targeting, score is on lower side but not lowest (Have seen 600 range folks go to Harvard)....GMAT is just one part of application not everything.

It really depends on your background. If you're an Indian IT/Engineer type and your competition has scores of 720-750, you may want to take it again.

The fact is, you need to look at medians and ranges of GMAT scores with a grain of salt. You're not going to be evaluated against all applicants, rather, you'll be evaluated against other candidates with a similar background as the admissions committee wants to build a class from all sorts of professional backgrounds.
