Here's my profile:
* Indian IT/34/m - Project Manager in a Fortune 100 company
* 11+ years work experience in the US and Canada
* Low undergrad GPA (~55%) - CS major from a lesser known college in India
* 3.3 GPA in computer science MS degree from a mid-tier US university
* 720 GMAT (48Q,41V,6.0 AWA)
* Limited extra-curricular activities (volunteering at work, treasurer of a student org)
My target school is Kellogg (part-time program). Looking for expert feedback on two areas:
1. Recently, I started taking MBA level courses at a local university and am averaging a 3.75 GPA in the four courses taken so far. I'm hoping this alternative transcript, in addition to my MS GPA (3.3) will help offset the sub-par undergrad GPA.
Thoughts and suggestions on how to approach this in the optional essay would be great.
2. I participated in some student clubs while in college. I volunteer for activities at work, mentor junior colleagues etc..but bottom line, I don't engage in as much community service as I would like.
I have very little to show for, on the community service front
Any suggestions on how to address this weakness in my profile would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help!
