Too much of a long shot?

by mbaordietryin » Sun May 27, 2012 9:38 am
I will graduate from an HBCU (Historically Black College/University) in Dec. 2013 with a 3.8+GPA in Accounting. I originally attended UT Austin and was put on scholastic dismissal. I took some time off from attending any school to refocus. I enrolled back into a community college and transferred to where I currently am at. I have attended school full time and worked full time since then. I work for a convention center in which I operate two million dollar parking garages.

I want to go straight from my undergrad to attending a top 20 MBA program.

I haven't had much time to become involved in internships or school organizations due to conflicts with work or classes. I plan on trying to find a company where I can squeeze in an internship during free time I have between classes in the morning.

My goal is to score at least a 700 on the GMAT.

I want advice on opinion on what you think my chances are of attending a top 20 MBA program directly after my undergrad. And I would appreciate any advice on strengthening my chances of acceptance. Thanks
