If x is an integer and y=9x+13, what is the greatest value of x for which y is less than 100?

We need to find out the maximum value of x for which (9x + 13) is less than 100

--> (9x + 13) < 100
--> 9x < (100 - 13) = 87
--> x < 87/9 = 9.(something)

As x is an integer, maximum possible value of x is 9.
