Both are sufficient.

From q it self : y^2=9-x

From 1: x<8>1 again by plugin we can derive x=5 here.

Condition 1) By plugging x values (less than 8 and greater than 0)
we get only one value of y i.e, 2 for x=5

Condition 2) given y > 1 => 9-x > 1 => x < 8
And again by plugging in we get y=2 for x=5
