Hello,
I took the GMAT on 4/18 and scored a 700 (45q, 41v). I am planning on writing my debrief once the official score report comes in but for now have a couple questions. I'll premise the following by saying that I am very happy with the 700 and I know it allows me to "check the box" on the application to any top school. There are many posts asking about unbalanced scores and their potential consequences and whether or not that person should retake. I have read most of these posts and the answers never seem to be definitive. I am not going to ask whether or not I should retake...I've concluded that is a personal decision based on a number of factors and I will come to that decision on my own.
My question is how does the adcomm view retakes once a 700+ score is achieved? What if the score goes down or stays the same? Are there any possible negative consequences? Any insight into how schools view retakes after a 700 has been achieved would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
