So I finished the Sentence Correction section in the OG and my final results are 105 correct out of 140. The breakdown in chronological order is as follows:

1. 17/20
2. 33/40
3. 27/40
4. 28/40

Total: 105/140 = 75% correct.

Honestly I am a little bit disappointed. I thought I'd do better than this. I will also admit that most of the time I just trust that the grammar I've learned over the years from speaking, reading and writing the English language will hold me in good stead. I have a hard time memorizing grammar rules like noun clauses, indefinite pronouns, present perfect, past perfect and what not and a majority of the time just pick an answer based on how the sentence 'sounds' to my ear.

I have 8 weeks to go for my exam. Any tips to improve my sentence correction scores are appreciated. Thanks!

It is important to understand the parts of speech. Really, what you want to do is look for errors and comparte answer choices instead of using your ear. It is a much more analytical approach.
