Is the ans 27?

no. of red cars=72=9*8
therefore, black car=3*9=27

Thats was my answer too, OA was 24. Again I think OA is wrong.

Same here, i got a 27 too

R/B = NO OF CARS R/NO OF CARS B
3/8 =Rnum/72
Rnum = 3*72/8 = 27

24/72 does not reduce to 3/8. End of story.
