You are wailisted... damn ..Now what?

Getting waitlisted is not the end of the road for you. While it is not an admit for sure, it's also not an outright deny. Waitlisting process can definitely be pretty frustrating but this is not the time to give up. You still have a chance to get that coveted admission offer; you just need to make sure that when the admissions committee turn to the waitlisted candidates, it finds you in front of the line. So follow these tips to make the best of this long process -

But what if the school is not willing to accept any additional materials or updates? what can you do then? Do you know which schools are more open to such updates and which aren't?

If they aren't willing to take additional materials, all you can do is wait, or tell them you're heading in another direction if you decide on another program. Each school will have its own policy which will either be on their website or in their waitlist letter to you on whether they'll let you send new info or not. Wharton is a notable school that won't take anything new. Other schools like Booth have been willing to accept such info if you believe that it can help you.
