Concise set of rules/formulas/techniques/strategies?

Hello all,

I'm taking my first official GMAT in 3 weeks. I've scored 530 and 520 on my first two practice exams

I bought the entire MGMAT practice set including all the books, however I believe its too much information! I've been going through the books at an incredibly slow pace, and I feel like they give you way too much information.

Are there resources out there that have very clear and concise takeaways for each type of question?

For example like a top 10-20 strategies/techniques for problem solving, data sufficiency, etc. but also for each math topic for example, top 10-20 formulas, takeaways, concepts, etc.

I just want clear, straight-to-the-point facts which I can memorize and use, even if I dont become an expert on every little detail I just want to big takeaways from each section so i dont have to go through all the books.

Are there a combination of resources for this? Thank you!

What's your target score ? What's your Q and V split up in both the mocks ? There are no rule/formula book for GMAT. You can probably use BTG flash cards and some other ppl flash cards as well. But getting desired results depend on your target score. MGMAT books are quite good, if you find them to have way too much information then you are not quite good in content. When you are strong in a particular topic you will be skimming the book, but when you are weak you will be reading at a snail's pace. What you learn in one question may not be applicable for another question. The point is GMAT is no memorization test which you can crack just by learning formulas. You need to understand the concepts so that you can nail the question be it asked in any different way.

I would second Sam's comments. Evaluate your weaknesses. That is the most difficult and frustrating part of GMAT prep. Mid you, you would get nowhere without doing this!

3 weeks is not appropriate time to scale up ur score to 200 points. I am being quite blunt and honest with you, pal. Reschedule ur test if possible and fight a day when u feel most at comfort !
