Columbia Business School vs. London Business School

Hello, everyone! Please, help to make a decision. Got accepted into both CBS and LBS. Do not know what to do. Any ideas, opinions?

no doubts about it.....has to be Columbia.

You might want to check some post on gmatclub website regarding LBS MBA. They talk about visa/bank loan/job propects. Especially an article from businessweek, authored by LBS student, is posted which may be useful to you.

Thank you for your reply! Money wise, LBS comes out to be cheaper by 30-40K (tuition difference and living costs, since at LBS i am planning to finish the program in 18 months vs 2 years at CBS). As for visa, I do not need visa after i graduate, since i am going back to russia for work (even if i study at CBS, after graduation, I will go to Russia). So these matters are irrelevant to me.

My question is which school is more unique, international, and better in general?

LBS i think would be more international. But the question is which members of its international alumni community are famous. I cant think of anyone..and I have a long list of people from Columbia who are very well known worldwide.

I also think being in New York is a bigger plus than being in London. Although a lot of companies operate out of London as well as New York, most of them are head-quartered in NY.

Cost is a factor. Especially if you dont require a bank loan, LBS would be cheaper for you.

But wonder why would LBS student write about mood in campus and their struggle to get jobs after studying at LBS if it was a really good school. i am referring to the buinessweek article posted in the link I gave you earlier.
