High Level Study Plan for Retake

by sberco1001 » Sat Mar 17, 2012 1:24 pm
Hello,

I took the GMAT in January and obtained a 580 (38th percentile for quant and 74th percentile for verbal). So I just registered to take the test again on June 1, 4 days before the new test comes into effect. That leaves me just over 2 months to bring my score up to what I hope will be in the 700+ range. Is that feasible?

This time I'm going to be more methodical and pay a lot more attention in reviewing my answers and trying to LEARN, as opposed to merely ripping through questions and practice tests.

Can someone please suggest a high level study plan? Before detailing daily/weekly plans, I'm trying to figure out the summary level. What should each 3-5 week block look like? How long should I spend re-learning concepts before starting to do timed questions, etc...

I'll be studying with Kaplan on Demand (online version) but thinking of leveraging Kaplan more for the resources this time around (CATs, quiz bank, etc...) and only re-watching lessons for areas that I struggle in. I took the Classroom Anywhere version in my last prep and believe my issues to be more related to needing to better apply the methods as opposed to re-learning them. I will also work to improve my time and stress management skills.

Any advice?

Thanks!
