750 (47Q, 47V) - Question re: AWA

by craiger » Mon Mar 12, 2012 2:42 pm
Hello, I just took the GMAT this morning and I was excited to see my final score:

Quantitative: 47 (76th percentile)
Verbal: 47 (99th percentile)
Total: 750 (98th percentile)

I have not yet received a score for the analytical writing (AWA) section. My question is-- does the score from the AWA influence the overall percentile score (i.e could it move my 98th percentile up or down)?

It appears from the GMAT website that the overall percentile score relies solely on the Quantitative and Verbal sections but I would like to confirm.

Thanks!

Congrats on your awesome score! The AWA score is a completely separate component of your GMAT report. It does not affect your 750 or the subsection scores, or the related percentiles.

Thanks, yatleoj. I figured that was the case but wanted to confirm.
