Some students attending a small university with a well-known choir live off campus. From the fact that all music majors are members of the choir, a professor in the music department concluded that none of the students who live off campus is a music major.

The professor's conclusion is properly drawn if which one of the following is assumed?

A) None of the students who live off campus is a member of the choir.

B) None of the students who are music majors has failed to join the choir.

the first statement says that if you are a music major then you are in the choir. From that the conclusin is if you live off campus you are not a music major. The missing link will be between choir and off campus.

A makes this connection better. If No studnets who live off campus in choir and everyone who is a music major is in choir then we can see that no one who lives off campus is a music major.
D only says that everyone who lives on campus and does not speak to the students living off campus. If all the students who are on campus are music majors that doesn't mean that there are no music majors living off campus.
