Guys,
All my hard work in the past two years is now boiling down to the present at which I am about to get final answers from business schools in the next couple of weeks.
I just wanted to quickly update you about my applications process - I applied to 8 schools and got 4 interview invites (Ross, MIT, Fuqua, Booth), 2 rejections (CBS and Wharton), and from 2 schools I haven't heard a word yet (UCLA, HAAS).
2 weeks ago I interviewed at Booth during the Super Saturday event. The campus is amazing and the students were very laid back and friendly. I met great and interesting candidates and my interview with the second year student went great. My interviewer was super nice and we found many common personal interests and in general we had great conversation.
After the 30 min interview, I joined the campus tour, which was led by a first year student, and later joined lunch with some current students. It was a great day!
About a week ago, I had my interview to Fuqua, which took place in my home country. My interviewer was, again, very nice and since we enjoyed the conversation, it lasted 1 hour and 15 min!! Not only I shared many personal and professional stories, but also my interviewer did. I was extremely interested to hear his reasons for picking Fuqua over Kellogg.
Anyway, in a week from today, I am going to have my interview to MIT and hopefully it will go as smoothly as the others, although I heard that MIT interviews are a completely different story - they have different format and are conducted by admission reps which makes them much more harder.
Cross your fingers for me. Hope it will go well. I will update you soon!
