Stmt 1 - x+y is nearest to 4. e.g. x = 3.9 and y = 0.05 or vice versa.. so NOT SUFF

Stmt 2 - x-y is nearest to 1. e.g x=3.9 and y=3.1 or vice versa.. so NOT SUFF

Together, also there can be multiple values of x and y to satisfy both. SO E
