So here's my dilemma. I am originally from LA and currently living in LA and recognize the strength of the USC brand in the Socal region. It is unmatched, save for UCLA in the area. That being said I am dying to get out of LA and I lived in Atlanta for a few years back in 2002-2006 for undergrad. I really liked it and I really like the Emory program. My concern however, is my ability to secure employment after graduation in the Socal area after graduation. What do you all think? Do I go with a surer bet in terms of securer employment in the Socal area down the line or go with a program and a school I like better. They are both equally ranked more or less, though I feel USC has more name recognition, probably just because of football ;-)!

What program do you all think is stronger? That would really help me decide. I don't necessarily want to return to LA right after graduation but I would definitely like to return within 5 years of graduation.

That's easy. Go to USC. One of the strongest brands and the socal network is HUGE. If you want to work in SoCal go to USC. Emory is regional and it'll be hard to land a job in So. Cal. A big reason people chose the schools they do is for the network, relationships, job placement, etc. Emory is a good school, but look at the stats and you'll see that most USC people get hired in so cal.
