Please evaluate my profile, weak gpa/gmat

Hello!
Just wanted to comment first hand that this forum is an excellent guide and I have learned a lot from reading many of the threads.

I am scheduled to take my gmat in october.
Applying to Baruch, Fordham and St Johns as a part time mba.
Undergrad gpa is 2.87 from SUNY Albany
Worked 3 years in financial firms (1.5 yrs as a personal banker at chase, 1.5 yrs as an institutional operations associate at dreyfus mutual fund company)
I am currently 25 yrs old, Korean American.
My expected gmat score would be approx 550~600

How does my profile stand out when applying to those 3 schools?
I know for Baruch and Fordham, they are looking for avg 6 yrs work exp, while st johns is looking for 3.

Should I hold off on applying to these schools with my current profile?

Dear jhan82,

Your work experience is in the range for any part time MBA program; you just might be on the younger side for some programs compared to others. As for your profile as a whole, it will depend on your GMAT and how other measures like GPA, work experience, and letters of recommendation stack up to the rest of the applicant pool. If your GMAT and GPA are at or above the average for these programs, then you are in good shape assuming your essays and letters of recommendation are strong. If your GMAT/GPA are below the programs' averages, then your essays, letters, and interview become even more critical.
