Question on LOR

Hi Stacey,

There are couple of persons who have readily agreed to provide the LOR for me. One is my former Manager (He was part of the Project Management group in the project) and the other is a lady from my client team. In terms of pure Organizational position, this lady is not as highly ranked as my Boss is.
Here is my dilemma : Should i get the LOR from my Boss, who is from the same company as i belong to, or from that lady, who is part our client team but not a Manager?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Thanks
Alpesh

Dear Alpesh,

Either recommender is fine since you have a former manager providing the other letter. You need to select the person who will give you the strongest recommendation and you trust will submit the letter in a timely manner. Likewise, you need to select recommenders who are the most knowledgeable of your work in a professional setting rather than someone with a lofty title.

Regards,
Lisa
