From y = f(x) = x² - 3x + 6, we can see that the coefficient of x², which implies that the parabola is an upward parabola.
Now, f(0) = 0, which implies that the y-intercept = 6

(1) Line L is parallel to x-axis does not reflect where does it intersects the y axis; NOT sufficient.

(2) Line L passes through the point (0, 16) again does not reflect where does it intersects the y axis; NOT sufficient.

Combining (1) and (2), Line L is parallel to x-axis and passes through (0, 16) implies it intersects with the parabola at 2 points; SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is C.

Two variables present. To 'solve' we would need two equations. Can we get an equation from
Stmt 1 : No
Stmt 2 : No

Combined : yes. Y=16.
Hence, c.
