First Practice Test: 46 V. How to Improve?

by hoyasj » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:31 pm
Hi,

On my first practice test(GMAT Prep 1), I scored a 46 on the verbal section. Obviously, I realize that this is quite good. My quant score was only a 44, so I'll spend the majority of my time working on quant. However, I'd like to at least maintain my verbal score if not improve it.

Out of the 5 questions I got incorrect on the verbal section, 2 were difficult sentence correction questions and 3 were difficult reading comprehension questions. . I feel like brushing up on my sentence correction skills is simple enough (go back through the manhattan sentence correction guide and keep on practicing difficult sentence correction questions on grockit). However, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can effectively work on improving reading comprehension or any other suggestions for improvement elsewhere?

Thanks!

They were primarily broad-based
