In a certain international stock fund, 48 percent of the money is invested in South American stocks, and of that portion, 12.5% is invested in Argentine companies. If the fund has 42 million invested in Argentine companies, what is the total value of the stock fund?

a. 700
b. 664
c. 600
d. 575
e. 480

S : total value of stock fund
amount of money to invest in SA stocks = (48/100) x S
amount of money to invest in Argentina company = (48/100) x S x (12.5/100) = 42.10^6
==> S = 700 x 10^6
