by him1985 » Thu Dec 29, 2011 5:32 am
Hi,
I am from India, 3 yrs exp. in Telecom domain,Graduate-70%(Engineering). GMAT not given yet,Planning to give in March12. Very active in Extracurricular activities in school & college.
I want to persue MBA from one of top 10 college, I know i need a good GMAT & TOEFL score but i have few other concerns.
1. Course: Confused between full time MBA & Executive MBA.Heard that Full time MBA is better. Which one should i choose and normally in which month application process starts.
2. Fee: For any good college, Tution Fee + Other expense + Relocation approx $80K-$100K which means approx 50lac INR. Affordability is big question for me.I want to ask that how people got scholarship, loan and rebate in fee.And how much % scolarship or loan can be provided.

Can you guide me.Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you are at the very beginning of your bschool search. In order to help you develop a list of schools I suggest you think about why it is you want to get your MBA. Typically full time programs are a great option for those with your level of professional experience. Once you narrow down your field/interest of study, you can start to pick schools based on class size, location and other factors. You'll also want to see how you perform on the GMAT since your score will also help determine your school list. Most schools have 3-4 application deadlines with the first in October the second in January and later rounds in March or April. Each school has different deadlines so you'll want to check before you apply.

New applications come out over the summer starting in late May/early June. Try to aim for the first round of applications at each school on your list. Lastly, scholarship and loan information vary from school to school, so you'll want to check out the schools on your list to see their specific qualifications.

Best,

Stacey
