Ten Tips for GMAT

by stefen » Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:49 pm
Nothing is more important than practicing GMAT Test on a timed environment

1. Know Your Weaknesses
Don't waste your time on working on your strengths. You are already prepared in those areas.Focus on improving your weak areas. You can't hide any of your individual GMAT scores from B-school admissions officers. It doesn't mean you have to ignore your strengths. If your strength lies in Quant, keep the formulas fresh in your mind.
2.Practice your GMAT at least two weeks before exam
3. Practice under Exam Conditions
4. Take the Real GMAT Onceâ€"Just for Practice

I did step 4 of the above, minus wrong timing of step 3 and got a 690. I am not wondering if I want to expend more of time at the sake of adding another 30-40 to my over all score.

Just a thought.

Those are great tips! My test day is actually tomorrow and I'm trying to think calmly and not panic, but I've been studying for so long and everyone on here seems to be doing extremely well even on the first try, but I'm terrified of blowing it! All I want is a 600. I haven't studied these past few days, I'm at the point where I'm so sick of going over the same things practicing. We'll see how it goes I guess! :/

Hey guys! so I JUST got home from taking my GMAT.. and i failed MISERABLY!!! I was sooo upset i was crying like a baby in the car. I got a 340!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mouth dropped open after I saw my score.. I seriously cant believe it. I dont know what went wrong.. and I really dont know where to go from here.

I got 22 on Quant and 15 on Verbal. I was sooo nervous i thought my heart would jump out of my chest.. my hands were shaking. :(
