In her later poems, Phyllis Wheatley's blending of solar imagery, Judeo-Christian thought and figures, and the images she borrowed from ancient classicism suggesting her range and depth of influences, not the least of which is her African heritage.

(A) the images she borrowed from ancient classicism suggesting
(B) borrowing images from ancient classicism, suggests
(C) she borrowed images from ancient classicism, which suggests
(D) images borrowed from ancient classicism suggests

with a, c, e, the sentence would not have verb.
between b and d, d sounded better.
my question is "suggests" is verb then what is the subject?
i just hate inverted sentence.
can anybody advise how to approach inverted sentence more clearly?...
let's beat GMAT.

She is not a possessive pronoun and hence any answer with she is eliminated, whic leaves us B and D

B is wrong because borrowing is not parallel.

Here blending of X Y and Z is correct parallelism
x= solar imagery
y= thoughts and ...
z = images borrowed...

Beware lists in SC; sometimes I replace the entire list with the word "stuff" to simplify, as in:

In her later poems, Phyllis Wheatley's blending of [stuff] suggests her range and depth of influences, not the least of which is her African heritage.

It can make it easier to spot the subject.

Isn't the subject plural here. If it is, shouldn't we use "suggest" instead of "suggests".

the subject is "the blending of X, Y, and Z", not just "X, Y, and Z".
this construction -- like all gerunds (-ING nouns) -- is singular.
